The Workshop

You may know of the Cyclelibrary we run, but in order to keep all the wheels turning, our workshop is located here too. With 6 work stands, nearly every tool, and technical assistance standing by, members of BIL become self-reliant and knowledgeable.

Members of BIL work on their bicycles outside of the workshop

Our workshop has a selection of professional tools and most of the common spare parts one might need. Members can also purchase less common parts for their bikes from larger Danish wholesalers that we have relationships with.

Open Workshops

In the past we've regularly held free workshops with experienced mechanics from workshops such as Butchers & Bicycles, Biomega, and Flydende By UpCycles. All are welcome to take part in these workshops, which span topics from common repairs, like replacing worn-out tires, to more advanced repairs, like wheel-building or changing out gears. If you are a bike mechanic and would like to be in charge of an open workshop or assist in our member workshop, it's possible to become a member at Bicycle Innovation Lab as a volunteer.
